Blake created BASE to free the body from restrictions of everyday life and fitness. Often set to oldies jams, this class is a combination of mobility and stretch work focusing on the joints and muscles. The goal of BASE is to make your body feel and move better. If you’re focused on longevity and living pain free, this class is for you!
Five Points classes are a combination of breath work, mobility, agility, strength and coordination. Nick’s classes focus on restoring ease and motion to the body, undoing the restriction caused by intense physical training or the dysfunction of the sedentary nature of modern living. These classes are appropriate for movers of all levels, and can be used as a warm up before or a cool down after another of NEOUs many offerings, or even as stand alone workouts! These classes require little to no equipment, though the more advanced workouts are often enhanced by the involvement of everyday objects. What these classes lack in equipment they demand in focus. Participants will be asked to immerse themselves wholly in their own bodies, to feel and perceive the intricate workings of our joints, muscles and lungs. These classes are unique in that by revisiting the same class participants will develop the ability “map” their body - to notice improvements in range and comfort of motion, as well as determine areas that are particularly sore of fatigued that day. This gives us a better idea of where we need extra work or extra care. Expect to finish these classes feeling stronger, taller, lighter, calmer and restored.
